Volunteer

We can’t do this without you.

Las Vegas K9 Crew Rescue is 100% volunteer-driven, and every single role plays a part in saving lives. From the moment a dog is found to the day they go home, it takes a team — and that team starts with people willing to step up.

Volunteering doesn’t look just one way. Whether you’re out in the field helping rescue a dog, behind the scenes keeping things organized, or helping us grow through social media and events — you are making a direct impact.

Ways You Can Help:

Field rescue & search efforts

Respond to calls for lost, abandoned, or injured dogs. This can include searching areas, setting traps, scanning for microchips, and helping safely secure dogs in the field. This role may require quick response and teamwork.

Transport (vet visits, pickups, adoptions)

Help move dogs safely from one place to another — whether it’s picking up from a shelter, transporting to vet appointments, or bringing a dog to their foster or forever home.

Fostering support

Assist fosters with supplies, check-ins, temporary coverage, or helping new fosters get set up. This role helps ensure our fosters feel supported and our dogs continue to thrive in their homes.

Event setup & staffing

Help organize and run adoption events, fundraisers, and community outreach. This includes setting up booths, managing merchandise, talking to the public, and representing the rescue.

Fundraising & donor outreach

Help us raise the funds needed to save lives. This can include organizing campaigns, reaching out to businesses, securing sponsorships, or assisting with donation drives and raffles.

Social media & marketing

Create posts, share adoptable dogs, tell rescue stories, and help grow our online presence. This role is critical for getting dogs seen, adopted, and supported.

Admin & record keeping

Help behind the scenes with applications, data entry, emails, scheduling, and keeping everything organized so the rescue can run smoothly.

Home checks

Visit potential adopters’ homes (or conduct virtual checks) to ensure a safe and appropriate environment for the dog. This is an important step in making successful, lasting placements.

What It Takes:

  • Minimum 8 hours per week (flexible based on role)

  • Must be 18+ years old

  • Maintain reliable communication with the team

  • Have a valid driver’s license & insurance (for transport roles)

  • Sign a liability waiver

  • Commitment and reliability

  • A team mindset

  • Compassion and patience

  • Willingness to learn and jump in

Some roles require more time than others, but every bit of help matters.

This work isn’t always easy — but it is always worth it.

No matter your skill set or availability, there’s a place for you here.

Be part of the team. Be part of the rescue. Save lives.

Why It Matters

Because at the end of the day, volunteering means being part of something bigger… It means being the reason a dog gets a second chance.
